Your GP may refer you if your child has concerns around growth (too fast or too slow), delayed or early puberty, unexplained weight changes, excessive thirst or tiredness, or a thyroid condition.

This is one of the most common reasons families visit us. We carry out detailed assessments and can offer treatment where appropriate.

The consultant will take a full medical history, discuss your concerns, and may carry out a physical examination. Blood tests or imaging may be arranged. We always make sure your child feels comfortable throughout.

Initial consultations typically last 45–60 minutes. Follow-up appointments are usually 20–30 minutes.

Can I stay with my child during the appointment? Absolutely. We encourage parents or guardians to be present, especially for younger children.
