Areas We Focus On
Heavy, painful or irregular periods
Heavy or painful periods can affect daily life. Your consultant will look for the cause, which may include fibroids, endometriosis or hormonal changes, and talk through the options with you. These can range from medication to a pelvic ultrasound or a minor procedure where it is needed.
Menopause & perimenopause
Perimenopause and menopause can cause hot flushes, poor sleep, mood changes and irregular bleeding. We offer assessment and management so you can decide what is right for you. Any bleeding after the menopause should be checked promptly, so please book an appointment if this affects you.
PCOS, ovarian cysts & fibroids
We assess and manage conditions including Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), ovarian cysts and uterine fibroids, using consultation, on-site pelvic ultrasound and blood tests to reach a diagnosis and agree a plan.
Coil fitting & removal
We fit and remove coils (IUD and IUS) in a private, comfortable setting, carried out by an experienced clinician.
Pelvic & gynaecology ultrasound
On-site pelvic and gynaecology ultrasound scans help us investigate pelvic pain, abnormal bleeding, cysts and fibroids quickly, often within the same visit as your consultation.
What to Expect at Your Consultation
Your appointment starts with time to talk. Your consultant will listen to your symptoms, review your medical history, carry out any examination needed with your consent and, where it helps, arrange an ultrasound scan. You will know what is happening and what the next steps are before you leave. Everything is kept private.
