Employment History
- I am working as Clinical Director of Radiology Services responsible for a substantial size department with 23 radiologists and 175 radiography staff. The Southern Health and Social Care Trust includes 2 acute and 4 non-acute hospital sites.
- My current job plan includes 3 specialist Musculoskeletal sessions per week. These include two dedicated MSK MRI and Ultrasound lists, including soft tissue biopsies.
- I conduct lower GI MDT on a weekly basis and report a specialist GI case mix, including CT colonography (twice weekly), Liver MRI, Rectal MRI, and MRCP examinations. I also provide holiday/absence cover to my Upper GI/ Hepatobiliary MDT colleagues.
- I am the radiology lead for lung cancer MDT. My general cross sectional work attracts lung cancer staging scans and also lung biopsy and drainage procedures.
My work profile’s cross-sectional sessions include 1.5 inpatient acute CT lists per week and 0.5 outpatient CT reporting sessions. We provide emergency out-of-hours CT cover to two hospitals in the trust on a 1/17 rota. The out-of-hours CT workload ranges from 15-25 scans on weekdays and 30-50 scans/day on weekends.
- I routinely provide services for acute stroke imaging, including angiograms and spinal imaging. We provide acute spinal MRI imaging service 7 days a week.
